John Dinkelman, president of the American Foreign Service Association, will speak at this Ask Me Anything event.
John Dinkelman assumed duties as president of the American Foreign Service Association this past July after nearly 40 years of distinguished service at the U.S. Department of State, including senior leadership roles at posts around the world. He has served as acting Assistant Secretary of State for Administration and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics Management, chief of staff in the Bureau of Administration, and regional executive director for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs. He served overseas in the UK, Marshall Islands, Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico, and Yugoslavia, and as Charge d’Affaires in the Bahamas. Most recently, Dinkelman served as a Diplomat-in-Residence at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
