The BYU School of Music will present Opera Scenes: Greatest Hits performed by students from the vocal performance program. Performances will take place Feb. 21-24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Selections will highlight the performers’ wide range of talent by showcasing operas from the Classical to Romantic eras sung in Italian, French and German. Audiences will be sure to recognize beloved music from some of the world’s most performed operas such as “Carmen” by George Bizet, “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi and “Le nozze di Figaro” and “Die Zauberflöte” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The scenes are directed by professor of vocal performance Joshua Lindsay. Barbara Allen and Nicolas Giusti serve as vocal coaches. Accompaniment will be performed by Deborah Robertson, Michelle Papenfuss and C.J. Madsen.
