The Role of Sign Language Interpreters on Campus--Disability Awareness Week

Sign language interpreters are used all over campus and for all sorts of BYU classes and events.  Who are they and what, exactly, do they do?  Jason Burr will explain the role and purpose of American Sign Language interpreters at BYU.  he will describe a variety of circumstances for which interpreters are frequently used and how communication is handled for them.  He will present in spoken English and the workshop will be interpreted into ASL for those in need or intrigued.
