Learn about intelligence analysis, HUMINT, and mission management career fields as well as the general hiring process for Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Jacob Dunn is a five-year veteran of DIA, starting as an analyst at U.S. Southern Command and U.S. Strategic Command before transferring to the Defense Attaché System to support DIA’s global diplomatic efforts. He has supported disaster relief efforts in Latin America, strengthened foreign partners in countering transnational and nation state threats, and was on shift the night Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. Work assignments have taken him to multiple US states and two continents. He graduated from BYU in 2019 with a BA in Political Science and speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, and Urdu. At BYU, he was co-president of the Foreign Service Student Organization and Praemon, both of which helped him obtain his current position. He is married with one baby boy.
