BYU China Conference is a student-run annual event, founded in 2015. The conference invites prominent individuals in business, academics, government, and culture to offer insights and ideas focused on shaping the future of U.S. - China relationships. The day of the conference consists of professional lectures, an expert panel, a networking session, etc. In this age of tension between the two great powers, this event is one avenue of communication and learning that can foster understanding between the two peoples.
Speakers for this year include the former consul general of the United States in Shanghai, the former vice president of Renmin University, the associate dean of Beijing Normal University, a senior official of the Chinese Embassy to the United States, a Chinese history expert, and the BYU International Vice President.
