Sterling Anderson has been developing self-driving technology for the better part of the last decade, starting with the creation of MIT's Intelligent Co-Pilot in 2007. Mr. Anderson led the design, development, and launch of the award-winning Tesla Model X, then led the team that delivered Tesla Autopilot. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from BYU and an MS and PhD in Robotics from MIT.
During the last College of Engineering Lecture of the semester, Sterling will talk about why vehicle automation matters and what he’s learned over the last decade as he’s worked at the forefront of development and deployment.
