GIS Faculty Workshop

Wednesday, July 29
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
2233 Harold B Lee Library

Discover how interactive maps and spatial thinking can support teaching, research, storytelling, and student engagement across disciplines. Taught by the BYU Library Geospatial Services, this hands-on workshop series introduces approachable, web-based GIS tools in ArcGIS Online, including StoryMaps, dashboards, data collection apps, and simple spatial analysis techniques. Participants will explore practical ways to incorporate maps, geographic data, and interactive web tools into courses, assignments, research, and public scholarship.

No previous GIS experience is required. All workshops are independent from each other, and participants are welcome to attend any session based on their interests and availability. Faculty, staff, and graduate students from all disciplines are invited to join. All workshops will be held in HBLL 2233.
