Olivier and Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo, joined by The Broadgrass Band, brings Broadway with a touch of bluegrass to BYU. Performing in Utah for the first time, Karimloo and The Broadgrass Band will perform songs from musicals they love as well as traditional favorites.
Well-known for appearing in the 25th-anniversary concerts of Les Misérables (as Enjolras) and The Phantom of the Opera (as the Phantom) in London, Karimloo has been called “Absolutely stunning . . . a force to be reckoned with” (Musical Theatre Review). He made his name in the early 2000s in some of the West End’s most enduring productions, most notably The Phantom of the Opera (as the youngest-ever Phantom at age 28). In addition to originating the roles of the Phantom in Love Never Dies in 2010 and Gleb Vaganov in Anastasia in 2017, he played Jean Valjean in Broadway’s 2014 revival of Les Misérables and Nick Arnstein in the 2022 revival of Funny Girl.
