Religious freedom has long depended on principles of pluralism and the idea of resolving differences without compromising core values. This conference will explore religious freedom in the United States: What does it mean? What social benefits have come from religious coexistence, tolerance, and practical respect? Can religious freedom model broader civic harmony and the flourishing that results from respecting each other’s human dignity? Join us as we explore how religious freedom can contribute to efforts to put our society back together.
The closing session of the Annual Review will feature Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorom of the Twelve Apostles, Rev. A.R. Bernard of the Christian Cultural Center and the Commission of Religious Leaders of New York, David L. Buckner, Bottom Line Training and Consulting, Rev. Dr. Que English of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services, and Rabbi Joseph Potasnik of the New York Board of Rabbis.
