Arlene Sewell is the portfolio director of Artificial Intelligence at BYU, with more than 25 years of experience in IT leadership and management. She previously served as chief information officer at BYU–Hawaii and as a project manager in BYU’s Office of Information Technology. Her earlier roles include director of IT projects and technology services at Dixie State University, as well as associate chief information officer and director of Financial Aid at American Samoa Community College. She has also worked with Blue Sky Communications and the Children’s Hospital–San Diego.
Sewell earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems from BYU–Hawaii and a master’s degree in information systems security from Colorado Technical University.
