Devotional: Eva Witesman

Eva Witesman, Associate Professor in the Marriott School, will deliver the Devotional address.

Witesman's remarks will be broadcast live on BYUtv, BYUtv.org (and archived for on-demand streaming), KBYU-TV 11, Classical 89 FM, BYU Radio, and will be archived on speeches.byu.edu.

Eva M. Witesman guides government and nonprofit leaders toward better use of data when administering, evaluating, and innovating their programs. Her goal is to help organizations to achieve more good by systematically evaluating the impact of their work. Dr. Witesman received her MPA and PhD from Indiana University and has worked with more than a hundred organizations directly through teaching consultancies with students and hundreds more through her public speaking and professional training efforts. She also serves in her local community on the school community council and on two nonprofit boards.

In the BYU Master of Public Administration program, Dr. Witesman has taught courses in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods (including statistics, public program evaluation, and cost-benefit analysis) as well as courses in nonprofit management (including resource development, nonprofit management, and volunteer management). She is known for her rigorous, hands-on, community-engaged experiential learning teaching methodology.

Along with her husband, Dr. Witesman has four beloved children, who inspire her daily to make the world a better place in any way that she can.
