Teresa Bell joined the faculty of the Department of German and Russian at BYU in August 2013. She teaches German teaching methods, exploring foreign language teaching and German. Prior to teaching at BYU, she was a faculty member at the University of Oklahoma. She has also taught German at the University of Pittsburgh.
Bell earned bachelor's (German) and master's (German literature) degrees from BYU and a Ph.D. in second language acquisition and teaching from the University of Arizona.
