Mapathon

Thursday, April 10
3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
2742 HBLL

This event will give you a chance to use geographic information systems (GIS) to perform service by mapping buildings, streets, rivers, etc., in areas where that data is currently unavailable or out of date. The data you provide will help humanitarian organizations better respond to and mitigate natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and other threats.

At the event, you will be taught how to map in as little as 10 minutes! There will be pizza, snacks, and prizes. Please bring your laptop and make an account before you arrive: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/ballardcenterforsocialimpact/1616545.

Sponsored by the BYU Library Geospatial Services & Training Lab, the Geography department, the Ballard Center, and the Sustainability Office.
