Dr. Craig H. Hart is currently the BYU Faculty Center Director and has also served as the associate academic vice president for faculty, an associate dean in the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences, and a department chair. He is the Zina Young Williams Card Professor of Human Development in the School of Family Life.
In addition to teaching and mentoring students, which has been the highlight of his career, Dr. Hart is an internationally recognized scholar in cultural developmental science with a focus on parenting/familial linkages with children’s social/emotional development and developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education. Published research that he has been involved in has been cited over 16,500 times by national and international scholars in his field. He and his wife, Kerstine, are the parents of four children and have ten grandchildren.
