BYU's Office Professionals & Administrators Committee (OPAC) lecture series begins 2024 with a lecture from Karen E. Cottle, a BYU Evening Classes academic program administrator.
Come learn a simple prescription for finding hope in any struggle, dilemma, or upheaval. Karen will share a four-step process to help you as letdowns, failures, and unfulfillments stack up. Whether it be at work, in your family, or in your own head, you’ll gain tools to help you see that hope is always smiling, waiting to be found.
The lecture is also available to watch via Zoom
Karen grew up on a farm in a tiny Cache Valley town near the Utah/Idaho border with a big family. She is the youngest of five and enjoys doting on her twenty-seven great nieces and nephews. Karen has worked for BYU Evening Classes for nineteen years (with nine different bosses). She achieved a master’s degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology in 2017. She loves ASL and football and has long been a professional car dancer. Her current calling as Area Temple and Family History Advisor came as a surprise, but she absolutely loves helping people connect with their ancestors.
