Sam Dearden currently works as part of the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership at the State Department as a Program Analyst. He recently passed the Foreign Service Oral Assessment and is waiting to be placed on the register. Previously, he worked at USAID’s Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Learning, where he was a Special Assistant. He also worked at Food for Peace and the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance at USAID and at Princeton University’s Innovations for Successful Societies Office. He has a Master’s in Modern British History from the University of Cambridge where he studied pirate radio and the BBC. He attended Brigham Young University for his Bachelor’s.
