Dr. Heather Belnap, associate professor of Art History & Curatorial Studies and European Studies coordinator, will present the 2022 Phi Kappa Phi Distinguished Faculty Lecture. The title of her presentation is "Pioneers in Paris: Educating Utah Saints in the City of Light, 1850-1914." Between 1850 and 1914, several prominent Saints, including Eliza R. Snow, Brigham Young Jr., and the Church's "art missionaries" and their students, sojourned in Paris to further their education and to network. This lecture will explore how these endeavors edified individuals and their civic, professional, and church communities.
