Bill Allen is an expert on the topics of race, education, and the American Founding. He will come to campus to share his insights about the value and nature of liberty.

William B. Allen, Emeritus Professor of Political Philosophy in the Department of Political Science and Emeritus Dean, James Madison College, at Michigan State University. He is currently the 2018-19 Visiting Professor in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado, He served previously on the United States National Council for the Humanities and as Chairman and Member of the United States Commission on Civil Rights.

He has published extensively. including Re-Thinking Uncle Tom: The Political Philosophy of H. B. Stowe (Lexington Books) and George Washington: America’s First Progressive (Peter Lang, Inc.).
