University Conference 3K Fun Walk

Monday, August 25
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
South Tunnel Marriott Center

Join Employee Wellness for a 3K route (just under 1.8 miles) through BYU’s beautiful campus. This is a chance to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and connect with fellow employees and their families. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to visit a variety of booths hosted by campus departments, each offering resources, wellness activities, and helpful information.

This year’s walk will feature the theme “Courage to Be Well” — focusing on helping BYU employees gain the knowledge, confidence, and resources to care for their personal well-being. By participating, employees will learn how simple, intentional wellness practices can enhance their ability to serve students and thrive within the BYU community.

The walk will begin immediately following the University Conference general session at the south tunnel entrance to the Marriott Center. Route maps and other materials will be available at the starting location. Those wishing to take their time on the walk are encouraged to begin early to allow time for visiting booths and participating in activities while still attending other conference sessions.

Participants are encouraged to come prepared for warm weather. While parts of the walk will be shaded, it’s recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, and a refillable water bottle for hydration stations along the way.

This event is designed to promote personal wellness, campus connection, and resource awareness in a casual, welcoming environment. It’s a valuable opportunity to step away from daily routines, gather new tools for personal well-being, and reconnect with the mission and community of BYU.
