This BYU faculty panel discussion will provide background necessary to understand the current conflict, what it means to participants on all sides, and what is at stake for Israelis and Palestinians. It will also discuss possible future directions of the war and implications for the United States and the broader Middle East.

Joshua Gubler is Associate Professor of Political Science and Coordinator of the Middle East Studies/Arabic Program.
Quinn Mecham is Associate Director for Research and Academic Programs at the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies.
Andrew Reed is Associate Professor of Church History and Doctrine and Chair of the BYU Council for Interfaith Engagement.
David Romney is Assistant Professor of Political Science and teaches courses on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
