Tourism and conservation are major sectors in Tanzania that attract people from around the world to the country. A panel of experts from the College of African Wildlife Management at Mweka (CAWM), Tanzania will discuss the global versus local dynamics of tourism and conservation, including important considerations for the future.
Emmanuel Martin is Senior Lecturer and Ag. Deputy Rector at CAWM. He specializes in forest mammal ecology and modelling and protected areas planning and management.
Kokel Melubo is Senior Lecturer in Tourism, with research interests in tourism and community well-being, corporate social responsibility, the work of guides and porters, and Maasai indigenous knowledge.
Elizabeth Kamili, Senior Lecturer, has conducted research on protected area land management and is currently focused on environmentally sustainable tourism.
